Frequently asked questions
What is included in the free check?
You connect your Shopify store and get one real finding from your own order and refund data over the last 180 days: your actual return rate and an estimate of your cost per return. Not a sample report from someone else's store — your numbers. Nothing is stored and no credit card is required.
What data do you see, and what happens to it?
Read access to orders and refunds only. We never write to your store. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR must be in place before any processing — without it not a single record is retrieved. You can disconnect at any time.
How long am I committed?
Cancel monthly. There is no minimum term and no setup fee.
Where do the cost estimates come from?
From published German research: University of Bamberg (€2.85 per returned article for transport and handling), EHI Retail Institute (€5–10) and the bevh Retourenkompendium (€7.93–10 plus 13.1% value loss). These sources disagree by a factor of three to five, and we show you the range with all three rather than picking a favourite. Your return rate itself is not an estimate — it is measured.
Does an AI write the reports?
The analysis is pure statistics, not AI. An assistant helps draft the report text — but nothing is sent until someone on our team has read and approved it. That is enforced technically, not just promised.
What happens if I'm interested in Kontrolle?
Kontrolle is currently in its pilot stage — there's no automatic checkout yet. Message us using the button; we'll quickly confirm your order volume and your willingness to share before/after returns numbers as a reference case, then agree on a preferential rate for the first pilot run.
Does this work with my store?
Shopify stores for now. Connecting takes about a minute through the official Shopify login — no app is installed in your store and no passwords are shared.
